Parece que foi há pouco tempo mas já se passaram três anos desde a edição de All 'Bout Smoke N' Mirrors o primeiro registo dos Fingertips que logo se destacou pela qualidade das músicas e pela capacidade de criar êxitos. Êxitos como o foram Mellancholic Ballad (for the leftlovers), How Do You Know Me e Picture of My Own (só para nomear aqueles que passaram pelas rádios e televisões).

Depois de uma extensa digressão nacional que teve como pontos altos a participação dos Fingertips nas primeiras partes dos concertos dos Queen + Paul Rogers, The Corrs e Nelly Furtado, a banda fechou-se em estúdio (o mesmo onde gravaram o primeiro álbum) para começar a trabalhar em Catharsis (que em grego, entre múltiplos significados, se destaca explosão de sentimentos).

O primeiro avanço de Catharsis é a balada 'Cause To Love You'.
